Youth Group News
We have teamed up with Zion Lutheran Church Oneida youth group to collabrate on various events together and to encourage our youth to walk and grow in their faith alongside each other. Events will take place at either Zion or St. John or an offsite location.

Youth Group Sunday Morning Bible Study
Bible Study is back in session for the school year! If you are in grades 9-12th please join us on Sunday's @ 10:20-11:30AM in the youth room. Snacks provided each week. -

Making Christmas Card and Decorations for the elderly and nursing home residents
Which we will deliver in December.

Sunday, Dec. 6 - Carols & Kindness – 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm
We will be taking our Christmas crafts from our previous meeting to hand out at
various nursing homes, sharing the love of Christ. We will also share a couple of
Christmas Caroling. Then return for cookies, snacks, etc.

Sunday, Dec. 13 - Jingle Jam Christmas Party – 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Join us for our annual Christmas party which includes silly reindeer games, gift
exchange, and Christmas goodies.
Friday, Dec. 18 - Journey to Bethlehem – 5:30 pm until ??
We will visit a Live Nativity Experience in Appleton,
and stop for dinner at Pizza Ranch

Enjoy a fun afternoon of bowling with friends and seeing if you can rise to some of the
bowling challenges of the day.

Friday – Sunday Jan. 15-17 – Winter Recharge Retreat: Camp Luther Winter Retreat
Join us for our annual Winter Retreat to Camp Luther as we enjoy God’s beautiful
creation in the winter. The weekend activities will include snow tubing, broomball,
cross country skiing, bonfire, and so much more.
Cost: $80 (includes transportation, housing, 4 meals, and all activities)

Sunday, Jan. 31 - Snowflakes & Sweethearts – 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Weather permitting, we will make our way once again to the nursing homes to build
snowmen outside the windows of residents, giving them something to smile about.
Afterwards we will return to the church for hot chocolate, and time permitting, making a
valentines craft for next month.

Our activities will vary from month to month, but will usually include foolish games, along with some food to snack on, and time to strengthen our faith.

Winter Blast Retreat to Camp Luther
January 15—17, 2027
It is that time of the year again to register for our annual winter retreat to Camp Luther. If you have gone to the retreat in the past you know how much fun it can be.
If you have never attended then join us for a fun winter filled weekend at Camp Luther as we not only enjoy God’s beautiful creation doing all sorts of fun activities such as broom ball, tubing, and camp fires, but we also will spend time in God’s Word and singing fun camp songs.
The cost to attend is $80 per youth. However financial assistance is available for those in need.

NATIONAL YOUTH GATHERING INFO.
We sent a total of 14 youth to this past youth gathering - along with 4 chaperones. We also traveled with our sister congregation, Zion Lutheran Church in Onieda making our group a total of 24. What a blast both groups had at the gathering. Pictures & videos from the gathering can be found on our church Facebook page. Otherwise, check back for videos and pictures to be posted soon.
The next National Youth Gathering will be in San Antonio, TX in 2028.

Junior Youth
(Grades 6-8)
All youth grades 6-8 are invited to become a part of the St. John Junior Youth Group. The Junior Youth Group plans monthly events, service opportunities, annual fun trips, and other fun service adventures.
Our activities will vary from month to month, but will usually include foolish games, along with some food to snack on, and time to strengthen our faith.
Check back frequently a schedule of activities that will be taking place throughout the year. Remember to invite a friend to join in the fun activities.

Senior Youth
(Grades 9-12)
All youth grades 9-12 are invited to become a part of the St. John Senior Youth Group. The Senior Youth Group plans weekly events, monthly service opportunities, annual mission trips, and regular trips to the LCMS Youth Gathering every three years.
Our activities will vary from month to month, but will usually include foolish games, along with some food to snack on, and time to strengthen our faith.
